spruce #56

This European spruce, Picea abies was collected in the Alps in spring of 2005. A friend took it home as garden tree. He had no clue what to do with it as bonsai. So I got it in a trade in May of 2006. It was very weak and I left it alone for three years after planting it into a round pot. Now together with Walter and Kolja we did the first serious styling. Walter cut off a lot and Kolja did most of the deadwood editing. It took two days. The last two images are virtuals, of course. It will take five to ten years before this spruce will be in showable condition. Spruce development for sure is a long term project.
